Vista Wireless Polling Lag!

I'm connected to my router through a network adapter and keep getting HORRIBLE lag when I'm playing games on-line. I've been looking this problem up and a lot of people are saying it's the polling lag. Every 60sec or so vista polls for new wireless connections and this brings about a 10sec lag EVERY 60sec . Is there any way to disable this or something to stop it from giving me lag? It's killing me!

Wireless sucks for gaming and that will never change regardless what you do...Its just the physical properties of wireless networking.

Use Ethernet if you don't want lag plan and simple.

I have tried many wireless devices but they all fail at keeping the loss rate down regardless of settings or device.
