 Junior Member  | Remote Desktop Help Okay you networking gurus I need some help. I have a machine at home running Vista and one at work running Vista and would like to use remote desktop to my work machine so I can work from home when I need to. I am hoping I can use the setup in Vista without having to buy Gotomypc. I can make the remote desktop work flawlessly in the office between two machines but I cannot access my office from home for some reason. Anyone with experience at this HELP! |

 Antidisestablishmentarian    | Re: Remote Desktop Help RD will require various special ports forwarded on your router (if you have one) and ports allowed in your firewall (Vista by default has a firewall, so even if you haven't installed one it is there) before you can do it. Another solution would be to use VPN, see the VPN thread in this forum as well. |
