HELP!!! stuffed up connection with 'the dependency service or group failed to start'

Recently, i got a trojan virus, and i deleted a few files, and then it was fixed. BUT the only thingo that was still stuffed was that the little wireless sign on the bottom righthand corner of my screen still displays 'the dependency service or group failed to start' EVEN THOUGH my connection is fine. I am currently talking with u guys . Also, when i try to connect to other networks, it says that it WAS connected but i could not access the internet (ALSO) EVEN THOUGH I AM STILL TALKING WITH YOU GUYS RIGHT NOW. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

ALSO:
I've tried the sfc /scannow thingo but all it says is that there were problems with the system thatcould not be fixed. It says to refer the the CBS.log. Ok, i try to access it but it says access denied. WTF??? please help!

Re: HELP!!! stuffed up connection with 'the dependency service or group failed to sta

If you are receiving the notification: Connection status: Unknown Dependency service or group failed to start; and you are running Vista and using Trend Micro for virus protection, then a fix is available for your problem. The problem is that Trend Micro mistakenly identified a Windows service, Network Location Awareness service, as a virus and altered the service to protect the system. I have written up the fix on my blog. I wrote after I found the same problem on 2 PCs in one week and spent hours looking for a fix. Consider It Fixed: The Dependency Service or Group Failed to Start Best, nrwater Consider It Fixed
