Local Only

Hello. this is my first post and i have been trying to find a solution to my problem. My problem is I am trying to connect to a wireless network. It connects but it starts off with it saying limited connectity and then it goeds to Access: Local only. Then I researched and i clicked on the IPv6 box and t worked. This time it doesnt work. I dont think I need to install any drivers or updates bc my PC is a couple of months old. Its a toshiba Satellite A215-S4757. 64bit.

Re: Local Only

If you haven't done so - do a complete hardware reset on your router. This fixed my "Local Only" issues (had to do so again when major security updates were installed). I'm no network engineer, but it seems that something in the router code makes Vista a bit unsure about the safety and limits the connection to local.

Good luck!
