windows computer on a LAN using usb printer

I have set a LAN between my computer one using win XP and the other Win Vista Ultimate 64bit, both computers can run the printer (canon ip3500) when used in there own usb port but when you try to use them over the LAN the computers can't find the right drivers. Both computers have the drivers and the printer sharing is on and the other network functions work prefect
