Vista - Upgrade to SP1 - Network problem

After restarting once the standalone upgrade for x64 was completed, everything seems to be normal. Then I notice that my icon for my network status shows me as disconnected (monitors have the red x on them). However, I'm able to connect tot he internet. I don't have a home network set up although everythign moves through a wireless router. When I check my network connections, it continuously pops up with a message stating that SSDP has stopped working. I also get a message telling me that the Network Store Interface Service has stopped working.

I figured I might just got and restart the service. I pull it up to stop it and it's running....then it stops....then it's running...then it stops...pretty weird.

Any thoughts?

I had to add the Local Service to the Adminstrator's group.

hi m new to this forum and facing the same problem...so i wanted to know how to solve it...
