| Vista Home Premium | Vista cant see xp but xp can see vista? Hey I have Vista laptop (has a password) on a wireless connect using a belkin router. i also have a desktop running Windows Xp Home Edition (sp2) (no password) over a cable connection via the belkin router. My Xp can see and access my vista laptop. But my vista laptop cant see my Xp desktop. It is really annouying seeing that i use my laptop at school and teachers expect me to print out my work nd give it to them, it would be so much easier to print strait to the printer which is connected to the Xp desktop. Thanks |

| Windows Vista™ Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista cant see xp but xp can see vista? Yeah, Vista cannot see Xp because it is not secure enough basically. As far as I know. I think you can set it to a lower level of security but that's not advisable. (This is not certain, I will post back to confirm or else delete this) __________________________________________________ Edit: Other post unconfirmed, Why I Can’t See XP computers in Windows Vista Network Map |

| Windows Vista™ Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista cant see xp but xp can see vista? You need to ask whoever have control of the school network to give you print permission. Most likely an IT Teacher |
