Re: certificate request Error: 0x80070005

Hi, florina, and welcome to the forums.

I understand that this is an error message, but how many times has it occurred? What are you hardware specs? What software do you have installed? What antivirus, antimalware and antispam do you have installed? have you scanned with those? Can you post a screen shot of the error? If you need help using the snipping tool to create a screen shot see How to use the Snipping Tool in Vista

In general just post info about the error message is not going to be helpful enough, because we need to know what you were doing, what caused the error, and the frequency of the error, and if it is reproducible.

Ok, judging by the screen shot, you are trying to access a Romanian bank in Transylvania?

Re: certificate request Error: 0x80070005

yes, i had the certificate before but i had to reformat my hard drive and after that it didn't work any more.

i contacted the bank and they said that because the error starts with 800 it's a system error and i should try to find a solution on google!!! so i'm looking and... nothing so far!

Re: certificate request Error: 0x80070005

But that error is not from *your* system - it is coming from *their* server - see that top line where it says Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Server?

AFAICT, that is the error message being generated from their end.

However, there is one thing to note - are you using IE? If so, is IE in protected mode for this site? If so, then add this site to your trusted sites list and see if it works then....

To do that, go to the site, then try to log in. You should change to a secure page, using an HTTPS address.

Then click on Tools --> Internet Options --> Security tab --> Trusted Sites --> Sites button - in the box that opens up, you should already have your site listed, simply click the Add button. after that, close IE then reload IE and see if it works.

If you need screen shots or a more guided help, let me know.
