Hey, Does anyone know how I can connect a Virgin Media Router to a netgear router to let people connect wirelessly?

At the minute the netgear router cannot connect to the internet and the virgin media router is not wireless? Is there a way to merge them both and create some sort of link.

Thanks,
Fearghal

Hi FMJC001,

It's been a week since your post so you may have resolved your issue. But here is how I have set up:

From the internet to the virgin media modem then via ethernet cable to the wireless router. Then I have connected via ethernet cable to my PC from one
of the LAN ports. But I use my laptop wireless..

Hope this helps

I also have a Netgear wireless router, and use Virgin Media as my ISP.Recently,I purchased a laptop,to compliment my desktop. The laptop has Vista installed, and the desktop XP Professional. All I did was unplug the lead that went from my Virgin modem,to my desktop, and connected it to my Netgear router, and the lead from my Netgear router, goes from the one of the Netgear "out" sockets,to the desktop.I can use both desktop, and laptop at the same time.Obviously,I have installed
passwords, and security measures,to make sure that the laptop can "talk" to the Virgin modem, and my Netgear router, but apart from that, all works fine.
