connectivity

This is a strange situation, and the first problem that I have had since using Vista. I use Snapfish to upload pictures from my digital camera. I have had no trouble getting into that site until yesterday. Now I cannot load www.snapfish.com, but I can load all other web sites that I normally use. I've re-booted the computer and the modem, and run the Vista diagnostics, but cannot find the reason for being able to load any other web site but not www.snapfish.com. I am able to load it using a Wi-Fi laptop, but not using my desktop. What a strange situation!!!! Can anyone help???

Welcome to the Vista Forums

Here's one possible solution for you.

While in Internet Explorer, click on tools, then internet options, click on the advanced tab, then click reset. This will factory reset Internet Explorer. Just in case anything got in there that is interfering with your web connectivity.

I hope this helps.

Rhohmann:

I received your PM about your situation. You mentioned you had already tried an IE reset and that didn't work. You also mentioned that www.snapfish.com is the only website you can't connect to.

Very unusual. I'll have to research this some more to see what I can find. Since I will be offline for sometime today, I'll open it up for input from anyone else that has an idea to share with you and our members about this.

Re: connectivity

Thanks for trying, .Joe. This problem is really baffling to me. I tried to contact my ISP, but it was obvious that the "technician" was reading from a script and I didn't get any help.

Re: connectivity

Thanks for the help. The different suggestions helped to zero in on the solution. It turned out that it was a corrupted cookie that was keeping me from getting into one web site while not having any problems with all of the other web sites. When I erased the corrupted cookie I was able to access the one web site.
