USB device not recognized at boot

Hello to all:

I'm new to Vista and would like some assistance with what is probably a minor issue.

I replaced my wife's old machine with an HP running 64 bit Vista home premium.

On attaching a USB antenna to connect to our wireless home network, I find that on boot up there is no internet connection available. If I remove the USB antenna and re-insert it, the network is now available.

I'm not sure whether to post this in the general forum or in some other.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated

Try to get the latest wireless adapter driver from manufacturer website and install it, then try again. Also you can update your Vista OS with latest patches. Also you can test connecting to different USB ports, see any helps..
