28,000 kbs on wireless?

I got a new N router and a new laptop and i used the N setting with a 5gz channel or whatever i go to speedtest.net and i get the speed of 28,000 kbs. Im like holy **** thats what i get when i use ethernet. What are your guys' opinions on this cus to me i never thought that was possible.

dont see the confusion your d/l speed is 30Mb/s approx your wireless speed should be about 4 times that on an N clas router ie 108mb/s even a g class router will give a max of 54Mb/s

unless i'm missing something

your DSL speed is set by the modem and the account you have with the ISP not the router

Update just seen sales info for a D-Link Wireless 'N' Starter Kit N Router & USB Adapter Bundle which states speeds of 300Mb/s of course these speeds are maximums achivable under ideal conditions

yea i just didnt think those speeds were possible. I was amazed. And 30Mb is just about the max i can achieve so i flipped when i saw i was able to get about exact results without an ethernet cable thats all.

Yes, Isn't technology wonderful, must admit to being a little envious of your speed, am running on 2Mb/s although compared to the 9600 Kb/s dial-up I started with many years ago can't complain

Um ah Yep you got me there i did mean 9600 b/s honest

I'm afraid the only thing I can do now is sneak off to the local pub and consume copious amounts of alcohol before they close
