HP 2600N Printer Through Network Requires Vista reboot to print

I have a new Dell with Vista 64 Home Premium. I have my home network set up and all works fin EXCEPT when I print with my 2600N HP...it requires a reboot of server to start printing. My laptop has Vista 32 bit Business from which I am printing the document. My wife just printed from an XP machine through the network fine. But from my IBM..as soon as I restart the server and the password screen comes up, the printer starts whirring. It does print directly from each machine with no problem.
I have print sharing turned on and its doing that great. But won't print on demand.
Any ideas?

Just by unchecking the enable bidirectional support it fixed the issue.
