Vista - Can't see router

My PC can no longer see a router that I use to talk to my stereo/PVR. It used to work fine but after Telstra replaced my modem/gateway with a 2Wire Wifi thing I can't see the other router (ASUS WL500G premium)

I have connected this router directly to my PC with a ethernet cable and still no joy. I have restored the router to default settings and then tried to see it at the IP address listed on the box - 192.168.1.1. Still nothing.
