i am using a dual boot config. with x64 vista ultimate and x86 xp professional. everything was fine with my computer but i happened to install an optional update for my Realtek NIC from vista. then i lost my LAN. both vista and xp showed ethernet controller under other devices in device manager. i tried installing drivers for my NIC both in xp and in vista but it didn't work. then i read one of the threads in this forum and solved my problem in vista. now i have internet connection.
and i tried to use the same solution in xp but it didn't work. it still shows ethernet controller under other devices.
can someone pls help me?
