Wireless Router

Ok my husband and I bought two new computers recently and since then have had a problem going onto some websites, not alot of them - but some. We get the error page.

I read that it might be because our linksys wireless router doesn't work well with Vista. We have Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

First, I was wondering if this could be the website issue?

Second, we were going to purchase a new wireless router and wasn't sure what is a good one to get. We would like one that has security on it and easy to install.

Do you have any input for us? Thanks so much in advance.

I would be more than happy to. I had went through all the options on the internet that I found about TCP and add-on and phishing issues and none of these worked. As a matter of fact, one thing that HP told me to do actually made me have to do a restore to even connect to the internet at all.

I came across a discussion that (forgive me if I'm wrong) but I believe was on this site... I found it from google. It said to check your router that some are not compatible with Vista. I went to the Linksys site and sure enough, mine wasn't listed and didn't even give a driver update. So we went and purchased a Belkin N1 Vision and plugged it in and followed the prompts. All works really well. I can log onto the sites that I couldn't before and it is a heck of alot quicker. Also I thought setting up the security was alot easier on this one than the old linksys since I am not good at things like that.

The only other issue I had with Vista had to do with running Quickbooks Acct version, but that worked out as well.

Thanks for asking and I appreciate this forum!
