| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Networking XP and Vista Hi, I have a desktop running XP Pro with a Linksys wireless G router connected to it. I also have a notebook running Vista Home Premium 64. (This Computer). I can connect to the internet via the router with no problems, however I am having trouble trying to access files on my XP's C: drive. If I go to "Network" here on my Vista Notebook I can see my XP name but it is shown as a Network Device and "Windows Media Player Sharing" and I can only access MP3's ? Could you please advise me on how to access my XP's C: drive ![]() Thanks....... |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 : Seven Ultimate x64 | Re: Networking XP and Vista You can't share the entire C:\ Drive. You have to select which folders to 'share' in XP in order to see / access them in Vista. Same goes for Vista, but Vista requires more permissions altering to see those folders in XP which can be a PITA at times. |
