| Business x64 | Networking vista and xp I just installed Vista Business 64-bit. So with no firewalls, and IP6 disabled, I can manually access an XP machine, and the XP machine can access me. There are a few problems though. The XP machine doesn't show up in the network computers; I have to manually type the computer name in the search bar. Also, the XP machine can't see any network games hosted on the Vista machine. When I try to transfer files to the XP machine from Vista, it goes REALLY slow. There are no firewalls. Vista is a fresh install. Network discovery is on. File sharing is on. Public folder sharing is on. Password protected sharing is off. Thanks! Last edited by M4573R; 12-26-2008 at 10:33 PM.. |
