Am I The Only One Having Problems with IE7?

Something has gone awry with my IE7, and it is bugging the hell out of me. It freezes at least once, or twice everytime I try to browse the internet. Previous posts have suggested cures, but not one of them has worked. Is there a way to delete IE7 and then reload? It came with my PC....

Hi Barnum,

You would have to list what you've already tried. Reset IE if you haven't already. It may be a bad add on. Try running it without add ons to find out.

Internet Explorer - Reset

Re: Am I The Only One Having Problems with IE7?

Have tried resetting IE7, scanned for malware, and currently running w/o add-ons. Still freezes up once or twice while on the net. Was wondering if downloading Safari and Opera might have caused this? Any thoughts on that possibility? Downloaded to check website I am working on....

Tried to remove both browsers, but get the message that I cannot?

Hmm, I don't know. I don't think having those other browsers would effect it. Do they ever freeze up? You probably have to be signed in as an administrator to delete them.

Re: Am I The Only One Having Problems with IE7?

I am the admnistrator, and the only one using this PC. Still cannot delete these two browsers, or at least I haven't figured it out yet. I suspect it's something stupid I am doing...

Well, you could try to take ownership, or go into safe mode and try.

It happened to me before. I defragged my PC and it worked fine after.

Why still working with IE when you have alternatives like FF and google chrome?
