cannot connect to wireless network

Hi there,

I'm running Vista on a Toshiba Satellite... everything was working superbly until a few months ago, when, all of a sudden, my laptop stopped playing nice when it came to connecting to available wireless networks, including my home network!! Aaarrgggghhhh!!

So, the network I want to connect to is in the list, and when I click on it, and click connect, it is unable to connect, and when I click on "Diagnose", it simply says that "Windows is not set to automatically connect to <network name>" and then goes on to say that I need to select a wireless network and connect to it.

It doesn't matter which available wireless network I select, I continuously have the same result. Now, I know the network at home works fine, as my husband has connected with his computer/s, no problem (an old Toshiba running XP and a brand new MacBook).

Any suggestions for fixing this issue will be warmly received!!

I'm a little technically challenged, so please feel free to ask questions if you need further information in order to help.

Cheers!
