Remote connect

Can someone help. I am having problems connecting my laptop at home to my office computer. My old laptop had windows xp and I had no problem. My new one has Vista home premium 32bit and it will not allow me to connect.

You haven't given the experts much info to go on, have the IT people at your works given you permission plus what have you tried so far, give all the steps you've tried so we don't tell you to try something you have already done.
