I have a vista x64 pc and and belkin g router model F5D7230-4 and i just got a gigabyte GN-WP01GS wireless card. It picks up the network excellent but when it trys to connect it some times says succesfull or unsuccessfull. When it says it succeds it stil doesnt connect to the router b/c i cant go to the routers options or other pc's. I've disabled firewalls. Im thinking the wireless card might not be compatible with the router but that is the last thing i want to hear. If you need more info just let me know. Thanks.

Hi,lamborn5
welcome to vist forums.
your belkin router is in 54g or 802.11g? is router equiped with MIMO?
you PC desktop or laptop?
most likly whats wrong is the area your computer is in.
eg:your router upstairs and your pc downstairs router have issues traveling vertical. Also this wireless card is it a BELKIN product? if not you may want to exchange it for a belkin product.the other options are to have a look at BELKIN USB wireless adabters which sit on your desk. and they recive much stronger signal.
check out Belkin : Home
this link will also explain what maybe wrong as you may have the wrong type of hardware for your home/office
