Less Download speed

Hi,

I have a DELL Desktop with XP & VAIO Laptop with Vista Home premium,I tried to measure the download speed by connecting both of them thru LAN connection (one by one)

I have 16000 tariff, for desktop I get 15000 kb/s & Laptop 11000 kb/s
I also tried also auto tuning TCP/IP receive Level but no use.....

Can any body Help? Thanks in advance.

Both sets of figures look reasonable to me. Questions - What time of day are you carrying out the tests? Are you carrying out the tests one after the other? What are you using to measure the speed?

I carried it both during day & also at night & both are connected to Router & tests were done one after another.............:(
