on my friends computer they are running Vista Business 32bit. Because of an office move they have had no internet connection for around 2 weeks, The connection is now up and running in the new office as the broadband and internet light have come up on the router however the PC is now acting really oddly.
When you look at the PC Screens down on the bottom right it says local access only then after around 5 mins it then displays the PC Screens with the globe and says local and internet access. But I cannot display websites or ping any ip addresses or sites. The PC Screens then go back to having local access only for a few moments and keeps going around in circles. I have tried reinstalling the ethernet card and also flushing the DNS this has made no difference. Its not a router fault as i tried a different router.
I have tried disabling any firewall software etc temporarly and using the diagnose feature within vista and it says its fixed it and also reset the LAN adapter but thats not worked the problem still remains
anyone got any other ideas
