wireless trouble

hello there ...
my mate has a fujitsu siemens..
she presses her wirless button it dont turn the wirless on..
she presses fn + f1 or somthing it dont work either..
is there any suggestions why this is ?

Some systems have a button/switch check to see if it is in the on position.

also check Device manager to see if drivers for the wireless card are installed, and functional. If you are using a router with encryption she will have to enter the key to access the network, and check your "Network sharing Center".
