Changing Ip

Can someone please help me to ip change.. I have tried diffrent ways to change but i cant seem to figure it out.. Several ppl online can do it.. I have Windows Vista and Dsl.. PLease help someone.. Thanks

Why would you want to change your ip?

Anyway, you are usually leased an ip for a certain amount of time. Some modems you can go into and tell it to release and renew, ipconfig can do this in windows but I have only owned 1 modem that it would let me renew the external that way.

well we play a game called runescape.. and there is a mini game called castle wars.. well in that game if u have a 3rd divisable 8 and the 4th a number lower then a 4 is called a good ip in that game and u get good flag drops.. its hard to explain but yah..

I tried doing the resetting the modem, and the ipconfig/release and the renew.. but it didnt do anything.. but i can leave my modem unplugged for 2 hours and it gives me a new ip.. but i wanna see if there is a faster way of doing that

Internet connectivity for DSL are by definition slower (than say for High speed cable).

Run Adminstator: Command Prompt

ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew
