Vista Authentication

I have a Vista (business) machine that used to be able to connect to a server without being part of a domain. If i wanted accessed a shared folder on a server it would prompt me for a user name and password. I was able to enter some credentials and access the folders.

Now all of a sudden i can't access the shared folders on the servers. I can connect to the server but when i got to open a folder it says cannot connect to \\SERVER\FOLDER Error code: 0x80070005 Access Denied. I've tried the firewalls. I've look all over the web and it's mostly about vista to vista machines or vista to XP. It doesn’t matter what server it is, 2003 or 2008. It works the very best on an XP machine.

Thanks
