ip configuration

Activating my computer from Sleep mode causes the following message: The connection between your computer and the internet or your local network has changed. Decide whether to reate a new Personal Firewall profile or use an existing profile for this connection.
IP Configuration
Default Gateway xx xx xx xx
MAC address xx xx xx xx xx xx

1. Does my internet service provider assign me a new ip and gateway address every time I log on, for better security?
2.Is the Gateway address the isp's address?
3. Is the MAC address my computer's MAC?

Thank you.

Re: ip configuration

Answer 1: No.
2: Yes.
3: Yes.

Open and elevated command prompt and type ipconfig /release and press ENTER.
It should release your current ip address and will change to 0.0.0.0.
Then type ipconfig /renew and press ENTER.
It should give you a new ip address. Then you should not have any issues with it.
