Vista - error 1068??!!

i was on my pc and then it said it needed to reboot so it did and when it came back on i saw my internet connection was off and it said" the service or group it depends on did not start" or somthing like that on it said error 1068 i have no pc experince at all so bare with me. im only an not knowing teen without internet :/

ps. this is not the pc this is my parents

'service or group it depends on' tells me that the Vista service that enables Internet connections is off.

ehm how do i turn it on then?

Well you can try and turn them on by hitting start and typing in services, then find the one you need and right click it then start.

I was able to get the internet to work with a work around, by removing tdx from the dependency list under DHCP, but it didn't correct the problem completely.

Type services.msc in run windows and hit enter. In the services window find all the services which is set to automatic as startup type, and not yet started (i.e) nothing in the status.

Post the services names here. We will look into that.
