Access denied: Vista from XP

Hello everyone,

Here's my situation. I have an HP dv6000 laptop running Vista Ultimate 64-bit and I cannot access any of the shared folders from any of my other machines. I cannot even access the public folders. The icon for my laptop shows up in windows explorer for all of the machines but when I try to open it, I get an access denied error. I have searched multiple forums and have allowed permissions for everyone. All of the computers are on the same workgroup. I have tried disabling firewalls and enabling guest accounts. I have a HTPC I just built with Vista Ultimate 32-bit and can access this computers shared files from all of my pc's. I have 2 desktop computers and 1 laptop running XP Pro SP3, 2 desktops running XP Pro SP2, 2 Macbook's running OSX, and of course the HTPC running Vista Ultimate 32-bit. All of these machines can communicate fine. They are all hard wired as well except for one desktop with XP Pro SP3 on it. My HP Laptop is just about a year old and I am considering just reinstalling windows but I have about 60Gigs of music I do not want to back up and tranfers again once I reinstall windows.

Thanks for reading my post. I hope you guys can help me out. :)
