| Vista Premium AMD 64 bit | Internet Not Working Hey All, LynxBlade here: Up until a couple of days ago, my virus scanner wasn't working correctly, saying it was uncompatible with Windows Vista x32 So I went and installed AVG Free Version. After installation, my internet went completely dead....COMPLETELY.. no "searching for http://www. ****** (google for example) " Completely dead, instant and utter failure and shutdown ![]() I've tried everyting, and im near positive that AVG is/was the problem. I've even searched up on it, and I followed the steps associated with fixing AVG network problems. (i,e, removing the filter in network connection properties). I did this and uninstalled AVG. No change. I've tried every known CMD "reset netsh" type function known and searched by me. No change at all, and its really killing me, because all of my critical work files are on said PC with problem;; Like most of us today, we need the internet. Any help please ![]() I've also tried running an elevated command prompt with admin privileges, and running the ipconfig/all command.. None of my network adapters show up, just the following or very close to it. (exact names might not be given) MACHINE NAME......****** DNS SUFFIX.......******** IP Routing Enabled .... No VINS Enabled......No And that is absolutely ALL that this command brings up in the window. I even tried Vista's problem diagnosis, and I get the message saying "The Network Adapter ______ is not properly configured to use the IP Protocol... and/or Experiencing driver issues.. So I did install the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website (none of the drivers were Vista compatible, but XP combatibility seemed to work, and coincidentally before AVG antivirus, this same driver worked fine with the adapter. I have no internet and would like some help.. Please and thank you in advance.. It would be hell if I had to completely re-install my OS, and I'm not even sure even that would fix the issue.. Thank you All LynxBlade |
