| Vista Home Premium | problem with connection Hi, recently my computer blue screened and wouldn't get back on Vista. I had to reinstall the OS. Before hand, my internet connection was perfect, but now it is very very slow and when I use a program like utorrent, P2P, it seems to hog up all the connection, which it has never done before. Internet Explorer simply can't find any connection when that program is working. I have no idea what could be the problem or even able to narrow it down. It has the latest drivers installed on the Realtek wireless card. Nothing has changed to the router set up before or after so it can't be that. Please let me know what you think. |

Hi and welcome to vista64 First thing I would check would be IPv6 supportr should be disabled in network and sharing. go to the adapter, properties, uncheck IP-6. Sorry I cant be more specific right now but im not on a vista machine. Let us know if that doesn't help Ken |

| Vista Home Premium | Re: problem with connection Yea that didn't help. Do I need to restart my computer, or should it take effect immediately? Because the internet is still very very slow, if the page loads at all. Sometimes it will just go straight to a gateway page saying the page could not be found, or sometimes it will load the page and seconds later go to a page saying the page could not be found. |
