sharing folders

have 3 computers - desktop and 2 laptops. laptops are on wireless.

can I have access to email folders and My Docs/Favorites that are on all 3, from any one of the computers? If so, how do I do it, short of copying all the stuff to each individual computer.... thanks

Re: sharing folders

What are the computers running for an OS/ Xp, Vista ?
Have you set up a home network?
Do all access internet?
You can share the Shared folder or just about any other folder on each computer with the others, but you need network for all 3.

You can share whatever folders you like. justmake sure the users of all three computers have rights to the folders. Another pitfall is that changes made on one machine dont propigate to the original.

I'm a bit weak on the technical aspects; I had to get a little help setting up my network to get the access right...

But I wanted to send a note of assurance that you can do what you're wanting to do (It's easy once you know how)

I've got four computers on my network now (three desktops and one laptop) and will be adding a fourth as soon as I get my 7 machine completed...

Right now, two are hard-wired; two are wireless...
Two XP Pro, one MCE 2005, one Vista Ultimate x64; and I have full and complete file sharing and swapping among all four (soon to be five) with a total of more than 8TB of storage among the 4.
I can even play Media Center files on the various machines (using WMP on the non MCE units).

I use one of the XP desktops mostly as a backup to store any "important" files by simply copying anything I'd be afraid to lose to it (sort of a huge external hard drive).
