Vista won't connect to Linksys Router

Just recently, I accidently ran 'rd /s /q c:'. You can imagine the chaos that insued. Anyways, I reformatted my computer. For some reason though, Vista won't recognize my router connection anymore. I have a LinksysWRT140EN router hooked up, but neither the Linksys installation CD or Vista will recognize the broadband connection.

Any help?

Format it with XP mode. I had to do that to mine.

Oh jeez. I don't remember, even though it was 3 days ago. I could walk you through it but I need the disk, and I don't have that available. Sorry dude.

All I can say is when you insert the disk, a window comes up with a bunch of folders. It's in there, around where the folder that says "SETUP".

So, what you mean is to use the XP disk to format it, then install vista?

No. There's a folder that formats it for you.

When I boot from disk, it goes directly to the installation wizzard--I don't get taken to any folder or command shell. I have a feeling the lack of connection is due to a missing driver, but the Dell PC restore utility throws a blank error every time I run it.

I don't know what to tell you then. I'm not that good with drivers. Sorry.
