There might be a problem with one or more netwok adapters on this computer

I tried connecting directly with my cable modem (Motorola SB4100) and I'm still having the same problem. I thought it might had something to do with Norton but it wasn't the case. I got so fustrated that i did a system recovery and yet the same problem occurs.

Click on Start=> Run type CMD to open a command prompt.
In the command prompt type the following commands:
To Reset Reset WINSOCK entries type: netsh winsock reset catalog and press enter
Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults, type: netsh int ip reset reset.log
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
