Why can't I see any websites when my labtop detects the internet, after a system restore?

My laptop recently had a virus, so I did a system restore to fix or get rid of the virus, but when my system came back up I was not sure if the virus was gone, there was no window saying if it was gone or not. Along with that my laptop can detect the internet, but I can not bring up any websites?

Your system can still be infected. System restores can easily still hold a baddy...

You need to run malwarenbytes and maybe microsoft security essentials.

And you can do this by installing them onto a CD or thumb drive from a working computer and then transfering them. I would also try any Anti-virus you already have, run a full scan with windows defender, and make sure your firewall is running. Can you run the windows updater in control panel? I would do all this just to be safe. Also, after you install malwarebytes and microsoft security essentials, make sure all your other anti-virus programs are uninstalled (windows defender will be automatically turned off, don't worry about that one) because they may conflict.

I installed Malware bites on my desktop and transferred it to my thumb drive and tried to install on my labtop, but no luck. Then I did the same thing to microsoft essentials and it installed, but the program will not fully work properly due to the fact that my labtop is not fully connecting to the internet.
My windows updater on my labtop is not able to search for new updates as well.
Usually I would see a globe with the two computer screens on the lower right hand side of the screen on my labtop; letting me know that I am fully connected to the internet, I have no globe showing!

Yha, its looking like youre still infected.

Try doing all this in safe mode.

I'd also add to the d/l, the newest definitions, they can be d/l seperately.
