Convert RJ45 to RJ11

Hi,
Do you think that would work or we have any such convertors?
From my wireless connection I ppoe cable instead of phone cable, so the end is an RJ45 connector, my router input for wireless is RJ11, so if i convert that RJ45 to RJ11 and connect to the router.. that should be able to project the wireless connection right??

I can't find any RJ45 TO RJ11 convertors??

Thoughts

Cheers

think that won't work .. don't know.. the internet transmitter is wireless. so I have an antenna sitting on the window, connecteed to a none wireless router which got special inputs to receive and convert the radio signal to normal internet signal. Therefore I have a ppoe network cable that comes out which I connect to my computer as a RJ45
But I want to connect that network cable to a wireless router which has an input of RJ11 (PHONE JACK) input for internet. So i need I convertor to convert the RJ45 TO RJ11.

If I do that, the router will generate its own IP address and so there will be a conflict between both routers as both will try to generate an ip address, so if i put the second router which is a Thomson TG585 to have static ip address and convert the router to a repeater, it should be able to project that internet connection signal as wireless??

Who thinks thats possible??

cheers

So yhou have a ppoe modem, attached to a router, and you want to skip the modem?

If yes, can't be done as a router deoesn't know how to speak modem.

Your best option is to chain them. Need to know your modem and router.....

This is all theoretical as I'm not sure were on the same page.

Edit,

Seems we're not...

I'd just buy A basic wireless router, 30 bucks basically.

Saddly with the THOMSON you can't do what I said. But any wifi enable router will do it.

Guess your best option is to go buy an inexpensive router, and plug it into the wireless modem.
