    Remote Desktop connection

    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to use a remote desktop connection from a laptop running Vista Business to a desktop running XP home edition SP3 on a local network. I am able to ping either from either one. and am able to use the remote desktop connection from the XP PC to the Vista, however i cannot go the other way. It asks me for credentials instantly after clicking connect and i have tried putting in the user and password and alternatively the PC name\user then p/w. and with either option it will try to connect for around 15 secs before bringing up an error message saying "This computer can't connect to the remote computer.". Also i might add i have enabled the remote desktop connection on either computer and also enabled a password on each. There must be something I'm missing???

I believe to use remote connection, the computer you are connecting to needs to be XP Pro, Vista Buisness or Ultimate, and not sure on Win7.

Thus why you can log onto the Vista, but not the other way.
