Dear users I recently upgraded from vista home to vista ultimate and my pc is connecting to the wireless access point but I have limited connectivity is there a solution here that will fix this. I read all kinds of solutions that says install vista sp2 service pack that still has not resolved the issue. I have also tried to disable the DHCP broadcast flag using fix it for me in Microsoft support but that does not work either. The strange thing is my pc connects wirelessly no problem in other business locations but will not connect to my home router. Before I upgraded to ultimate the pc was connecting fine.

OK,

Delete the troublesome wireless connection & create a new one to the same location on your new windows system.

I would always advise upgrading Windows the system to the latest version service packs etc. (NOT Microsoft recommended drivers for third party devices though, OK for MS devices).

If this is still a problem post back.

Dear posters thank you for your help. Before I delete the troublesome wireless connection I just want to let you know that the strange thing is that when I bring the laptop up to my office it connects perfectly to wireless eircom router no limited connection message appears using the wireless connection I have established. This would suggest that the problem I have is not with the pc but with the router I am using at home would this be a correct observation please reply with your thoughts. Regards Paul

Yup, its a setting or a router issue thats broke... Thats why I'd try returning the router to default and try it out.

Most routers has a back up option for your settings to make this easy.
