Hi

I am running a Small office. we have a Vigor 2910 routert that connects our Docucentre 2 C3000 to 3 Laptops.

the other 2 laptops are running windows 7. my laptop is windown Vista business priemium?

my printing connection drops out whenever it feels like it. my computer tech does not know what causes it. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so how did you fix it

Hi Jadie,

Welcome to Vista Forums!

Do you have the most recent printer driver installed on Vista for the Docucentre 2 C3000?. Here are the options. I must admit I'm a bit confused myself as to which applies - but I imagine their technical support department can assist you in choosing: Fuji Xerox Driver Download.

Are the computers networked together for files and internet access as well? Do these connections ever "drop out" or is it only the printer and only on this computer? Are there any other networked printers connected to the Vista computer and are they OK or do they too "drop out"?

Here's an article on how to add a network printer to Vista or XP. Note that installing the drivers is required. Add a Network printer to Windows Vista or Windows XP.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Hi Lorien,

No the computers are not networked together to share files we do this on a web based program called project web. I have installed the most up to date drivers and my internet never drops out? the other computers that are in out network never drop their printer conntction because they are both using windows 7.

when the vista drops the connection I have tried to re install it from scratch but after I have finished adding a new printer that connection shows as Offline too???

It seems the only way I can rectify this situation is to re boot my computer everytime it drops the connection? I have also tried logging out of my accound and logging in under a new account and the printer is still showing offlline. I have had the printer tech out to look at the printer and he assures me that there is nothing wrong with the printer it is a computer issue???

There seems to be no rhym or rhythem to the drop outs either I can print something out of Adobe and then try and print out of word or excel and it will be off line (prnting occures with in seconds of each other).

Cheers

If the “Access is denied” error is showing up on the computer, just go through the steps to fix the error. First, open the Printer Wizard through the Control Panel. Select the ‘Add printer Wizard’, then click ‘Add a local printer’ and then click ‘Create a new port’. Make sure that local port is there in the list and then click ‘Next’. In the Port name dialog box, type computer name and printer name and then click ‘Ok’. Complete the wizard steps to finish the process.
