PC freezes on uploading (and downloading)

So, my problem goes way back.

It all started when playing World of Warcraft, my pc was 1 year old and it kept freezing randomly when I was playing World of Warcraft. I took it back to the shop about four times, where they kept telling me it was fixed, but it kept on freezing, even getting worse because it would now freeze on whatever I was doing on the PC. They reinstalled windows several times, changed hard drive, changed some cables etc. and it appeared to be fixed. They had some expert guy looking at the pc and he said it was indeed solved, so I can't go back to the shop and say the repair was unsuccesful.

Now, my pc still freezes when I log onto World of Warcraft, it immidiately freezes when the loading screen is at 100%. This only happens on WoW characters that I did not create on this computer.

More importantly however, it also now freezes randomly when uploading files of about over 200kb!, and also when downloading sometimes. I used to have a rather cheap PCI network card (conceptronic), so I figured that was causing problems with my vista. I now however got a much more expensive and up-to-date PCI network card from sitecom, which is vista compatible. However, this one gives the same freezing on uploading and downloading.

My pc is one year old, I have no warranty anymore, but it should not do this.

Specs:
Windows Vista home premium x64 service pack 2.
4gb ram
Ati Radeon HD 3650 512 mb
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHz

BTW, the freezing is a screen freeze mostly, which allows me to still move my mouse (mostly!). When I press the on/off button on my pc after it freezes, I do still see the circle appear at my mouse (the loading circle of vista), but it won't shut down. After that I will also not be able to move my mouse anymore. The only solution is a manual shut-down. Waiting does not help, I tried waiting for half an hour once with no result.
It also sometimes goes into an immediate blue screen of death.

Funny, how you ask me to upload stuff in order to solve my issue with uploading that makes my pc freeze ^^.
Somehow this went all right though, it is not a persistent issue.

NOTE: the freezing happens far more often than the BSOD, so the freezing is my primary concern. I did the steps from the link anyways though.

The reports that you have submitted reveal clues to the cause of your problem. They do not give a definitive answer. The more reports that we receive the more clues are made available improving our chances of finding a solution to your problem. Each remedy suggested must be performed regardless of placement in this report or other variables. You may have to experience several more BSODs until the final answer is discovered.

Update outdated listed drivers. If I have inadvertently listed any Microsoft Drivers, they can be ignored. If the list is extensive I have included the driver verifier test so that you may determine which drivers are in need of immediate attention.

How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html
