Solved Internet will not connect.

hi,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes. just came back from uni where my computer had no issues with connecting to the internet. Here at home the computer connects to the hub, but only displays 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. last time i had this problem it was because the protected mode was on, this time it is switched off and i have no idea where to start looking.

computer is hp, think its a compaq 6715b, the hub is provided by virgin media, its a netgear VMDG280. at least i think these are the model numbers im not too sure, im not great with computers :( .

Do you connect wirelessly?

If you do, Make sure youre actually connected to the router.

If so what/why results.
What is different from uni?
Modem/router model no & make.
Are all associated drivers & software up ot date?

Hello,

Open IE
Tools tab > Internet Options > restore Adanced Settings and Reset Internet Explorer settings.
Restart IE.
