internet login fail

Hallo, intermittently, I get the Windows login fail screen for unknown reason and the solution proposed is to unplug the modem adapter for 20" and replug it and then it works good.
Windows Diagnostics Networking says: event-id: 6100
event from Helper-Class (Auto Config Helper Class)
MS Technet: errors - no results found
modem (wired) is D-Link DSL 320T (ADSL2+ modem)
I run ie9 but with ie8 the same ocurred.
