    Wireless Connection Issues

    Hello,
    My sisters laptop has recently decided to not connect to our network wirelessly. The laptop is a HP G7000, the wireless router is a BT Homehub 2.0.

    The problem is that it will connect fine while wired but not via wireless. It shows that the computer is connecting to the hub but not to the internet and is showing a 'connected with limited access' error. I have looked elsewhere on-line and I have not been able to find a solution. I have also tried a replacement network card to no avail.



    Any help is appreciated.

    I'd make sure you have the key in properly.

    Then I'd suggest turning off the routers security and the computers firewall. Its possibly a messed up security key/connection issue.

    So turning off all security will determine that. If it does connect, you can turn security back on 1 at a time till it fails or works.

    Thanks for the suggestions. There is no firewall issue and the security settings on the hub all seem to be correct.

    You could try turning off the power to the router for a minute or two and then turning it back on. I assume that your sister's laptop is in the same room as the router since you said it worked by physical connection.

    I had already tried restarting the hub, this did not work either.
