Windows Vista cannot find any networks to connect to the Internet

My dad's Windows Vista laptop could not connect to the Internet because it said:

Windows cannot find any additional networks.


I could not connect to the internet because there are none!! There is a refresh tab on the top right, but it didn't do anything! I tried diagnose the problem, but it didnt work! Please help!

Have you checked that the wireless switch is enabled? It looks something like this:

Another thing to check is that wireless is enabled in the BIOS.

I would also like you to see whether it works using Safe mode with networking:
