Computer Connects to Network but Not Internet

I'm running Vista Home Premium 32bit on a new (to me) laptop. I'm sitting in my office typing on another laptop that is connected to the internet, but this new one simply will not connect. It connects to our network but not to the internet (when I look at the connection graphic it has a green line from the PC to the network and a red X from the network to the internet). When I look at the connection it is titled (Unidentified) followed by the network name.

The computer was restored to factory standards before I purchased it. I am able to connect to my wireless at home and in a coffee shop no problem.

Help!

Hi Joval352,

As the laptop connects to home network and other networks, issue seems to be due to network restrictions at your office. I request you to contact the IT team at your office.

Please post after contacting your IT department.
