So my queries is that shall i proceed with the update or not, whereas there is no new update available from hp update.

My wireless connection is getting dropped between 30mins to 3 hrs, i need to disable and re-enable my wireless connection and then it finds my wireless network and finally connection is established.

OR

Sometimes it doesnt find my wireless network but it finds my neighbours wireless very well. i need to disable and re-enable my wireless connection 3 or 4 times and then network is established.

But when i connect my laptop via LAN i.e with cable then internet doesnt drop at all.

my modem is kept near to my laptop and still some time wireless connection is lost.

q1] Will this update will help to resolve my wireless problem?

q2] Shall i proceed with this update or not?

q3] or how to fix my wireless problem because it keep dropping every 2 or 3 hrs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why it dint find my device in my system. why it showed this error This device is unknown or unsported for Graphics Driver, Audio Driver for Intel Desktop Board and Wired Networking

bye

For a laptop or notebook, you should only use the drivers provided at the laptop or notebook vendors (HP in this case) support website. They may or may not be the same as the latest from the manufacturer of each hardware component.

But my model is old and hp doesn't support any anymore. dv6000 models are working well under Windows 7, but they they haven't got official support / drivers for this system from HP.. Last update from hp were somewhat around 3 years back.

Have you reinstalled your chipset drivers? It sounds like to me that you have the wrong ones installed. Try reinstalling from the cd that came with your system. I'm confused. Why are you worried about 7 drivers when you have Vista?

I don't know which country you're in but you need to go to the specific website for that country to get hp support. I couldn't find that model in the United States support website. I did find this, in case the model number for your system is incorrectly listed- Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion dv6-1330ea Entertainment Notebook PC | HP® Support

Hp does support Win 7.

Somehow I found your model which I couldn't find before. The page is the same one you posted initially. You can dowload and install all the drivers separately.

I would try what Townsbg suggested. Just reinstall the originals or the latest from HP. You can always post in the HP forum.
