First is the issue in connecting the device to the computer or the phone to the device? Second is what is the interface between the phone and the device? You need to make sure that they are compatible. Is there documentation on doing this with your phone by someone else?

Ah, okay, I get it. I do it with my Nexus S.

You did set up a Hotspot along with turning it on?

Once you set it up, you need then connect to it, I'm not sure you tech skill so you may have tried already.
Your screen shot is showing you've not connected to anything. You need to click the avalible networks and find your phone. Mine comes up as Android something.

Double click it, then add pass key, and you should be good.

As a Heads up, my Nexus gobbles batteries doing this.

If you do not see anything in the Avalible Networks, then you have issues.

Hi , I havent been successful in identifying anything with the adapter, so I think the issue is conecting the computer to the adaptor, is says disconected ? Im not sure if anyone else has connected my type of phone with this device . my phone can detect other wifi networks, but the adaptor doesnt pick up anything

Yha, he is usb tongling it.

Hmm, does the device manager show if there are any errors with the adapter?
What model of adapter.

I don't think the phone is the issue. With everyone having wifi, there should be at least 1 wifi point showing up in the networks tab.

Yes thats right , I can pick up a few available networks from my phone but this adaptor is not getting any signal, in the icon on the bottom of the screen says the device is dissconnected, I dont think I mentioned that I am using a desktop computer, so I dont have a wifi adaptor built in, I am using a "realtek" wireless usb adaptor, and the adaptor flashes blue when I plug it in.

The icon says disconnected as it's true.. you're not connected to anything.

You have another computer to try it out on?

And you never responded on the device manager and any errors.
