Uninstall and Reinstall

I uninstalled OneCare and reinstalled it. I think it believes it was
installed on a different PC. When I went to my OneCare circle, there were
two computers named "Desktop". I removed the old one. When I try to run a
backup OneCare doesn't realize that it has already backed up files to my
external drive on its previous install and wants to back everything up
again. Is there a way I can get it to see these backup files? Or can I just
delete the old backup files and have the backup start from scratch. I don't
have enough room on my external drive for it to keep the old files and copy
the new backup too.

Unfortunately, when you perform a reinstall of OneCare, it cannot use any prior
backup as a starting point to continue, but requires a new full backup from
scratch following the reinstall. The old backup can be restored from, but cannot
be added to.
You can, delete the old backup files:
