Backup Without Compression

Is there an option to backup without compression so one might
simply restore single files or folders??
Will it burn data to a dvd/cd rw?

Yes, you can backup to CD or DVD. RW is problematic for some people. Erased
discs tend to give backup fits in OneCare.
You can restore a single file from within the custom restore option and if you
wish, you can even extract files from the backup zip files. Larger files are
split, so you'd need to rejoin them with a 3rd party utility.
